At HAVEN, we baptise people who personally profess their faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism is not an achievement or proof that you have everything figured out in life. It is a response to God’s grace and a public expression of your desire to follow Jesus.
In baptism, the old life is symbolically buried, and a new life with Christ begins. At the same time, the church community stands with you, celebrates with you, prays for you and walks with you as you continue your journey.
If you’re considering baptism, it starts with an informal conversation with a pastor or leader. You can ask questions, learn more about the meaning of baptism and talk about whether you feel ready. We’ll then arrange the preparation and an upcoming baptism service.
